The Bitter Challenge 2019
Help us choose The Dane's house IPA.
Pledge your loyalty, make a temporary allegiance, or make a momentary truce!
February 1-28, we will have six amazing IPAs on draft looking for your vote. The catch? They will all be going by a Viking alias for duration of the vote, so you won't be sure which one is from what great brewery! We had to narrow the field of possibilities to six IPAs that we know you will fall in love with all over again.
IPAs in The Bitter Challenge from: Aslan Brewing Co, Seapine Brewing Company, Jellyfish Brewing Company, Lucky Envelope Brewing, Chainline Brewing Company, Reuben’s Brews.
Come in and get a flight of all 6 IPAs for $8, or grab a pint of one of them for $6 through February. With your purchase you will get your sword to make your vote!
The beer with the most votes wins! We will be announcing the winner and the runner up during our Jubilaeum 2nd Anniversary celebration on Saturday, March 2 at about 7:30pm!
Happy to be part of the north Ballard community, we invite you to visit and stay awhile. We have beer, coffee, snacks and more for you to enjoy with your friends and neighbors in our cozy, Scandinavian inspired café.
Can't wait to meet you. Check out our social media feeds @TheDaneSeattle for the latest information.

Q: Can we bring children and under 21 people to your place?
A: Absolutely. There are sections around the bar restricted to 21+ but all other areas are all ages.
Q: Do you serve food? Are you a restaurant?
A: Yes we serve pastries during the morning. Later in the day we offer café style shared plates, made to order hot and cold sandwiches, salads and packaged snacks. See the menu section. We do not have a full service kitchen.
Q: Do you allow outside food to be brought in?
A: Please no outside food. We encourage you to support our occasional guest food pop-ups, and to try our in-house sandwiches and shared plates. See our calendar for events and pop up information below. (The exception is birthday cakes. We LOVE birthdays and encourage you to celebrate with cakes!)
Q: Do you take reservations for groups?
A: Yes! Please email us at email@example.com with the date, time, size of group and preferred tables (if you have a preference). We will confirm your reservation.
Q: Is your place dog friendly?
A: Although we are all dog lovers, the city code doesn't allow dogs inside the building where we are serving customers unless your dog is a service animal. We have tie-out options and seating out back they can enjoy with you during the nice weather.
Q: Do you have WiFi for customer use?
A: Yes we do.
